David A. Willens is a principal of AW and serves as its Chairman. He leads the firm’s Investment Committee and principally focuses on strategic initiatives, growth and development, fund formation and fundraising. Mr. Willens has over thirty years of experience as an executive officer and director of both public and private equity-sponsored healthcare companies and extensive experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, operations, finance and investment management. In addition to his role at AW, Mr. Willens serves as a Senior Advisor to Alterna Equity Partners, Vice Chairman of Sage Dental Management and a member of the board of directors of High Five Healthcare. Mr. Willens began his career as a corporate lawyer in the private equity group at Kirkland & Ellis. He holds a B.A. in Finance and earned his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
