Brian K. Waxman is a founding partner and Managing Director of AW Property Co. He leads AW’s strategic direction and oversees its real estate operating divisions. He also assists with sourcing, analyzing and executing the firm’s real estate investments. Under his leadership, Mr. Waxman has fostered an entrepreneurial environment which has led to successful growth and expansion of the firm throughout the State of Florida. Mr. Waxman has over sixteen years of experience in real estate acquisitions, operations, finance and private equity, having acquired and managed over $500 million in real estate transactions in partnership with individual and institutional investors. He is a transactional attorney and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Prior to the formation of AW, Mr. Waxman served as general counsel and principal of GDC, a Florida-based real estate investment company. His experience at the company included the origination, execution and development of over two million square feet of office and industrial real estate. Mr. Waxman began his career practicing law at Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, a West Palm Beach-based commercial law firm. His experience at the firm included banking, insurance, real estate and general corporate transactions. Mr. Waxman currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, a non-profit education and conservation organization, and the Secretary of the Board of The Benjamin School, a college preparatory independent day school. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the Pension Real Estate Association.
Alexander D. Walker is a Director of Investment Management for AW Property Co. He is engaged in business development and investor relations and assists with sourcing and overseeing the firm's professional office investments. Since 2003, Mr. Walker has acquired and managed over $375 million in real estate transactions in partnership with institutional investors. Prior to joining AW, Mr. Walker served as managing director of Prospect Property Group, a real estate private equity firm focused on distressed and value added opportunities in the Southeast. Prior to the formation of Prospect, he was a division leader at the New York City office of Cushman & Wakefield and specialized in office sales and lease transactions.
David S. Lebenson is a Director of Investment Management for AW Property Co. He oversees the company’s medical office investment activities, real estate funds and private equity programs. He is primarily responsible for acquisitions and dispositions, deal structuring, debt placement, capital raising, investment monitoring and reporting and investor relations. He also assists with strategy development and initiatives. Mr. Lebenson has over eighteen years of experience in real estate acquisitions, operations, finance and private equity, having acquired and operated over $750 million in healthcare real estate in partnership with individuals and family offices. Prior to joining AW, Mr. Lebenson served as Chief Financial Officer for Rendina Healthcare Real Estate, where his responsibilities included accounting, finance, banking, reporting, investor relations and strategic planning. During his fifteen year tenure with the company, he served in a variety of roles including senior vice-president of finance, asset manager and financial analyst. Mr. Lebenson’s longstanding charitable commitments are dedicated to providing health and housing for families in need.
Amy E. Ferguson is the Director of Asset Management for AW Property Co. She is engaged in all aspects of property operations and manages the property management, maintenance and leasing teams. She is primarily responsible for oversight of asset performance and strategy execution. She also oversees due diligence preparation for the company’s acquisitions and dispositions. Ms. Ferguson has over twenty years of experience in asset management and transaction execution, having acquired and operated over 10 million square feet of property for institutional investors and private equity funds. Prior to joining AW, Ms. Ferguson served in senior asset management positions for Trammel Crow and Security Capital Group, a division of GE Capital, where her responsibilities included acquisition oversight, project planning, portfolio management and client relations. Ms. Ferguson began her career in leasing and property management roles for the Swerdlow Group in Miami. Her longstanding charitable commitments include Thresholds, a non- profit dedicated to help mental illness, poverty and unemployment.
Mujeeb Akhter is the Director of Finance & Accounting for AW Property Co. He is engaged in all aspects of property operations and manages the company’s finance and accounting team. He is responsible for accounting, tax, audit, budgeting and financial reporting. He also oversees banking relations, risk management and internal controls for the company. Mr. Akhter is a Certified Public Accountant and holds graduate degrees in accounting, finance and management information systems. He has over sixteen years of experience in real estate investment management and transaction execution, having acquired and managed over $500 million in real estate transactions for institutional investors and private equity funds. Prior to joining AW, Mr. Akhter served in senior finance positions at Crocker Realty Trust and The Related Companies. His longstanding charitable commitments include the Children’s Home Society and Make-A- Wish Foundation.
